The food here has was good and they give you a lot but don't go through grub hub they will make you cancel and order through them, which is ridiculous, but they are cheap enough and the food is good enough that I would order again.

I eat here once a week, the quality of food has gotten much better over the last year, new ownership. The amount of food you get on their lunch box special is crazy for only $4.75. The food is great and well worth the price. Very fast as well.

Used to order lunch here for the office once a week. Got tired of the lady at the counter cheating every one out of .05 change on every $4.95 order. Then we ordered a chicken meal and the chicken was pink. Next time the pork egg foo young was ham. The very last straw was when I ordered two meals was driving out of the parking lot and the old lady at the counter ran in front of my car and asked for my bag back bcuz she accidentally put 2 egg rolls w my order ! God forbid I get .20 of food for 3 years of loyal service & eating the crap!! Done

I've got quite the affection for Chinese food, as I make an effort to have it at least once a week. I usually get house of emperor, as it is close to home, and they have the best potstickers in my opinion. I decided to give grubhub a whirl, and see what other Chinese places I could try. I decided upon Wongs Chop Suet thanks to a pretty decent rating on grubhub. I have never felt so compelled to write a review, as the food was so poorly made, that I would hate for others to waste money as I did. I ordered potstickers, sweet and sour combo (chicken, pork, shrimp), and bbq pork (just so I could reach the 20$ mark in order to get two free egg rolls). The potstickers were some of the grossest I have had in my life. No taste, terrible dark and disgusting appearance. On a scale of 1-5, they're easily not eligible for review. The sweet and sour combo did not have anything besides chicken. Pretty aggravating when you pay more for it. The pieces were so hard, that it dried my mouth out while chewing it. Not tender. Not tasteful. Bad. The pork was the most tolerable, even though that was pretty terrible as well. Gross, slimy sauce, and pork that you know is just held together with MSG. I had no Receipt in the bag, the sweet n sour sauce was spilled all over, and the food was disgusting. Did I mention that I never received the egg rolls? Do not eat here, you've been warned.

This place used to be decent, affordable and although the old lady was hard to understand; polite. Now they have been owned by new owners for over a year and has the place made a turn for the worst. The jacked the prices up and changed the menu up. Simply put, the place sucks. They never had a décor to begin with but the two main elements the place had going for it; tastiness and affordability; went out the door. Too bad. The last time I went there; the new owners kid overcharged us for some egg rolls and I pointed it out her and she just handed back my money; no "sorry about that" or "my mistake." Key word - last time. This coming from a guy who lives right behind them in the condos who is used to going there once a week for years.

Pretty good chinese food. Not authentic and Americanized but good. Delivery was super fast. Not the cheapest but reasonable and they use fresh material and what tasted like not as much MSG. Overall, I'll order again. Try the hot and sour soup. It's good. Kung pao wasn't bad. Moo goo guy pan was pretty good.

I didn't even know about this place until I found it on GrubHub as a place that delivered to my area. I figured it was worth a try and I was not disappointed at all. The General Tso's Chicken was excellent, my wife had the Mongolian Beef which was great, and the egg rolls were very good. Even the delivery was quicker then expected since GrubHub estimated 45 minute delivery time and delivery driver was at my door within 30 minutes. This is definitely our new local Chinese restaurant to order from without a doubt!

I can see Wong's from my window and have lived here since 1999, so I have finally decided to getting around to reviewing it here... My favorite thing at Wong's is the appetizer combination (#108) comprised of two egg rolls, two crab rangoon, and two fried shrimp. YUMMY! They are enough to fill me up all by themselves! Another favorite are the soups. The wonton (#151), egg drop (#152), and chicken noodle (#154) soups are all just right with loads of ingredients rather than 90% broth. I like the large wonton soup best. It is enough for a wonderful lunch all by itself! Yet another favorite is the combination fried rice (#207). Juicy beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp combine to make delectable deliciousness! Again, the ingredients are abundant and meld well with the rice. The shrimp egg foo young (#254) reminds me of my college days when I used to order egg foo young frequently. The shrimp are in ample supply and always taste fresh. It is always just right! Well, I could go on for quite a while and have only gotten to the FIRST page of their seven-page menu... I do recommend the Lunch Box Special, especially if you want to just "give it a try" and are rushed for time. Call ahead, and your order will usually be ready within about ten minutes for pick-up! The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion/amount received. Wong's is located next to Dan's Pizza, just east of the I-335 and Maple Avenue interchange, so it has quick access to all nearby suburbs. They also deliver to a wide area and are open six days a week. Sadly, they are CLOSED ON MONDAY. Enjoy! downersgrove.patch.com/l… facebook.com/pages/Wongs…

Yummmmyyyyyy!!!!!! It's like Chinatown but in Downers Grove. When I hit the burbs, I always come her for steamed chicken and their famous egg rolls. This is worth the distance from the city. :)

This is your basic chinese take out place. Nothing special. The prices are reasonable .I used to order food from here when I was in college. The food tastes pretty good. I like the chow fun. It is a little hole in the wall take out joint, there is no room to sit or anything. I want to add, that a couple of times I have been reprimanded for ordering from grubhub, because the owner told me that grubhub takes a commission from the bill. She told me to call and order instead. Don't use grubhub I guess.

Ordered Beef with broccoli. Not the best but not the worst. It was only $4.50 lunch special. $4.95 including tax. Can't beat that price. Oh and just like another reviewer said, they love onions.

Ordered for first time, food was decent, but delivery person was rudest I've ever encountered, ruined dinner! She told me she would not deliver to door, I needed to come to her?! I contacted restaurant to share my experience, they did nothing! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!

Negative stars. I ordered through groupon at 11:15. Was given an estimate on 12:30, which is fine. At 12:30 they called and said the driver was there but couldn't find the office. I relayed the suite number, and they said they'd call the driver. At 12:45 I called grubhub because he still hadnt arrived. They called and the restaurant said the driver was still 5 minutes away. At 1:10 I called again because the driver STILL hadn't arrived. I asked grubhub to cancel the order and refund me. Definitely won't bother trying again.

We just moved to the area - so far this is the best chinese food we've had since moving back to the Chicagoland area after college. Their crab rangoons are hands down the best I've had. Portions are generous as with most chinese restaurants. They will let your order the lunch specials for dinner - they just charge a little extra. This is what we normally do. Great flavor and decent prices. Also a great location. Service could be a little friendlier - we've always felt rushed away by the woman taking the money.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
